CASEing the Blog Hop Design 5

I helped coordinate a Sale-A-Bration 2018 Blog Hop that was posted last week. If you missed it, click here to hop along.

I got the idea to CASE the designs shared on the other blogs after seeing all the great ideas from my fellow demonstrators. Today, I am CASEing Susan Murphy. Click here to see Susan’s design.

Susan used the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Heartfelt Blooms which has built in depth. I scanned my stamp stash to find Birthday Blossoms has subtle but not as detailed built in depth. Since the crumb cake flowers are much smaller on my card, I added the larger pansy stamp with coordinating punch for a focal point.

I had also planned to have a horizontal card like Susan did. I attached all the layers and then found the sentiment that I had stamped. It did not fit horizontally so decided to change it to a vertical card. I also missed adding the linen thread that she used since I found that after all the layers were attached too. Linen thread is a favorite of mine so drat!

I substituted a piece of patterned paper from the Delightful Daisy package where Susan used night of navy cardstock. I did use her paper snips trick to make flags on the sentiment cardstock.

Leave a comment if you like my CASE. CASE means copy and share everything and typically means using someone else’s design to create something with your own twist. I am planning 10 more twists since we had 15 blog hop stops. So keep checking back for more CASEing!

You can order all of these products and check out the Sale-A-Bration brochure at my online store here. Before ordering, check out my Online Shopper Rewards on the right side of my blog. I appreciate and thank you for ordering with me!
