CASEing the Blog Hop Design 4

I helped coordinate a Sale-A-Bration 2018 Blog Hop that was posted last week. If you missed it, click here to hop along.

I got the idea to CASE the designs shared on the other blogs after seeing all the great ideas from my fellow demonstrators. Today, I am CASEing Darla Roberts. Click here to see her original design.

I have the glimmer enamel dots on hand so I started with those for my color combination. Next, I looked at my stamps to find a set that would work with the circles on Darla’s design. I decided on Painted Harvest since it is a carry over set from the holiday catalog and I did not get to play with this one enough this fall.

I accented the glitter enamel shapes by adding them dark to light colored following the curve of the circle. This draws the eye to that fabulous rich razzleberry flower focal point. The old olive ferns add interest in their own circles.

The circle framelits are all from the Layering Circles collection. There are 16 nesting sizes (if I can count right and have not lost anyway in the design process:) These are a great option to add to your paper crafting stash since they take up very little space.

The 1 inch circle punch was used for the ferns so that a little more of the rich razzleberry scallop circle would be visible. Darla stamped “sand” on her card so I added “freckles” to my card using the small dot stamp with light pressure and stamping off on the crumb cake layer to add dimension.

Leave a comment if you like my CASE. CASE means copy and share everything and typically means using someone else’s design to create something with your own twist. I am planning 11 more twists since we had 15 blog hop stops. So keep checking back for more CASEing!

You can order all of these products and check out the Sale-A-Bration brochure at my online store here. Before ordering, check out my Online Shopper Rewards on the right side of my blog. I appreciate and thank you for ordering with me!
