Fun Fridays Facebook Live One Sheet Wonder

Let’s get together on my Facebook page for a One Sheet Wonder class tonight at 6:30pm. I’ll start by sharing what I did to create this Fall Sampler and coordinating greeting cards. Then go through the cutting steps to create a set of card candies with a completely different look. At least that’s my plan as I type this post:)

If you want to create along with me, grab 1 sheet of 12×12 patterned paper, an image and sentiment stamp sets, a few coordinating ink pads, a pile of coordinating colored cardstock and either whisper white or very vanilla cardstock, ribbons and embellishments. If you are making a sampler, you will need a base layer of 12×12 coordinating cardstock.

All the supplies I used in the pictured projects are listed below.

Coffee Break Suite

I like coffee flavored foods but don’t drink coffee. It’s either water or kombucha for me and occasionally hot tea. I collect all of Stampin’ Up! coffee and tea stamps so the Coffee Cafe stamp set quickly made it’s trip from Utah to my stamp shelf.

I had a design session for a blog hop that will be posted tomorrow so decided to post the samples that did not make the cut for the hop the day before and after the hop. You will enjoy three designs over three days using Coffee Break for my efforts. The party favor posted tomorrow will also be the favor at this week’s Card Buffet. I hope you reserved a seat!

Today’s greeting card design had me fussy cutting coffee mugs and pots from the Coffee Break designer series paper. It was quick work with my super sharp Stampin’ Up! paper snips. I wanted to add depth that the fussy cutting would allow instead of using a straight edged cut piece.

Vellum creates the cup bubble topper which was cut using the Big Shot and the Coffee Cups framelits. I loaded the Big Shot platform to cut 5 pieces at once, the cup bubble topper, the straw, the cup that holds the sentiment, the trio of beans on the inside of the card and also the wee heart stirrer attached to the bottom left cup.

All of the straight edge papers are cut to an easy 4 inches making this a no scrap dsp generated design.

Check back tomorrow to hop along the Coffee Break Blog Hop and see the party favor I designed!

The Coffee Break designer series paper is being retired so order it quick here at my online store!

Here are home office concept artist designs using this suite. Now do you want to order it all? haha!

April Onstage 2018 Display Stamper Sampler Submission

Stampin’ Up! is hosting an all demonstrator gathering in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA  and around the globe the first weekend in April 2018. They have asked for display stamper submissions. Here is my official entry for consideration.

Let’s start with the scrapbook layout. I love the sweet sugarplum and basic black combination. The bows from the holly builder punch add nice details that draw the eye around the pages. I shared this layout as a make-n-take for a local demonstrator gathering.

Next are three cards…

Last are 3-D’s perfect for gifting a little something…

The first is re-purposed from mini gift bow packaging to a mini gift box. Use tissue to wrap your gift to keep it a surprise.

The second is re-purposed from mini ornament packaging to a mini gift box.

Sara had shared at a Leadership Conference that packaging can be re-purposed. I have remembered this idea so try to give the packaging a second job when I can!

I hope I have inspired you with my display stamper sampler submission. I look forward to receiving notice from Stampin’ Up! that I am chosen as a display stamper since that means I get to turn new products into super awesome projects that other demonstrators can be inspired from.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pile o’ Christmas Cheer

It always starts with someone in mind. A person may need cheering up or wishing birthday greetings. This time, I had my senior living communities to design for. What would I gift them for a little Christmas cheer when I visit in December?

12 2 2017 5-001

The package needs to be easily opened and can be reusable. I let people know they can enjoy the treat inside, refill it and re-gift it. It needs to be festive and fun and easy to assemble since I have many to make.

12 2 2017 3-001

So I started gathering piles of supplies I had on hand, designed the favor and then ordered the supplies needed to make about 300. Each resident and staff will receive one. They were a big hit with the first communities I visited yesterday.

If we cross paths in December, I’ll gift you one too. In case we don’t, here is a Youtube video showing how to assemble plus a few other ideas at the end of the video.

Spooky Cat

Spooky cat cards are making their way to mailboxes of friends and family that love Halloween. Also mailed were order thank yous, belated birthday wishes and Happy Anniversary greetings. A tall stack for sure!

The cat hats were fussy cut from a sheet of 12×12 inch designer series paper in the Spooky Night package full of preprinted hats. The pumpkins are from the same dsp package. I used the coordinating cat punch to perfectly punch out pumpkin pie and basic black cats. The pumpkin faces are stamped on cajun craze cardstock using cajun craze in. Stamps are from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set.

I still have about a half a sheet of spooky cats so if you like Halloween as much as I do, let me know so I can add you to my Halloweenie mailing list!
