Thank you for hopping around with us as we showcase greeting cards for Dads, Grads, Brides and Babies! You may have arrived from Lisa Kmiec’s blog and her fabulous project. My project is below.

I decided to create a pet parent Happy Dad’s Day card. All those early morning walkies and breakfast bowl prep need a little thanks from the pet.

The crumb cake cardstock was embossed using the Subtle folder to add a little texture.

Ink, Stamp and Share Guy Cards

42535194_10156676672352208_1759988314120650752_n

Welcome to our Ink and Share Blog Hop featuring projects designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators and me. This month, we are featuring projects created with guys in mind. If you are hopping around, you have arrived from Tricia Butt’s blog and her fabulous project.

The Tranquil Textures designer series papers has a few options that look like water. I picked the pattern with a little purple so the fish could be accented with purple.

This card design was in the March Card Buffet line up. The supplies used to create the card were contained in a plastic tub lid and passed around the stamp table. Blender pens were used for coloring the fish. I wrap a piece of scrap paper around the cover at one end to indicate which pen should be used for which color. The pens won’t need to be “brushed out” of color until after the event. This might also save my ink pads from being accidentally dipped with the wrong color:)

Wood Crate CASE

My Wood Crate stamp set and framelits were an immediate purchase when they first became available. I could envision lots of great designs. I have since viewed many samples from fellow demonstrators online.

I used the framelits in my blog hop post which you can see here. So my supplies were already on the stamp table when I came across a fabulous design from Rhonda’s blog which you can see here. I liked the contrast of dark ink against light colored cardstock. The tucked snippet of ribbon on top of a banner adds a nice detail.

I had a request to create sympathy cards so CASED Rhonda’s design and came up with this take on her design.

This was the last task for my day. I added the image to the blog post and set it to publish today.

But, when looking at the stamp set, I used this coordinating stamp first. It looked a little weird but figured that was the stamp that coordinated with the sympathy stamp, wishing the recipient to remember a life with fond memories.

The rainy night must have cleared my brain because I woke up thinking that the original stamp I used just did not work. There must be another sentiment that fits a sympathy card better. And there was and the sentiment has been replaced on my card.

The stamp set I used is Better Together which has lots of good coordinating sentiments. Just make sure you pick the right one when creating your next card! It is available in wood or clear mount blocks at my online store here.
