A little cupcake with your frosting…

I have a support system…well let’s call it a sprinkles supplier (My Mom), along with empty plates to fill (for my Dad). Both will have something sweet a few times a day if offered, fresh baked, even better.

Here is our latest baking session…ginger bit cookies, chocolate chip cookies, sundae toppings themed decorated cupcakes plus what was left of the batter to make a mini cake.

My Mom enjoys the heaps of frosting and lots of sprinkles on our decorated cupcakes.

Dad prefers a lighter layer of sugar…

mini cake for 2…

A waffle cone was broken for the finishing touch. It absorbed moisture overnight. So if you are recreating this design, add the cone bits right before serving if you want the crunch.

Natasha’s Kitchen chocolate cupcake recipe is the winner with a soft crumb. Here is a link to her video: https://youtu.be/OS3mw-_kTkI

Inspiration to decorate these cupcakes came from Chaleese Bakes Cakes: https://youtu.be/ulixexbTsn4

I’ll share the story about how my cupcake decorating relates to my stamping business in an upcoming post.

Until the next bake!

I Am A Visual Learner

It’s no surprise that I like to create visual interest using contrasting colors, textures and depth. I am also a visual learner. So when I get a paper crafting kit, I look for a Youtube assembly video on Stampin’ Up!’s channel. This greatly reduces my time assembling the kit because then I don’t have to think about where all the pieces will go. The kits make it easy to stamp a stack of cards quickly when I have run out of ready to mail cards.

The Sentimental Rose Kit I mentioned a few posts back does have an assembly video in the Kit Collection Playlist on the Stampin’ Up! Youtube channel. Here is a link to that video.

If you opt to sign up for Paper Pumpkin, our monthly kit subscription box, Paper Pumpkin has it’s own Youtube channel to share the assembly videos on. Here is a link to the November 2021 Paper Pumpkin assembly video to give you an idea of what to expect when receiving kits from Paper Pumpkin. The video publishes around the 20th of each month which is about the time kits start arriving in mail boxes.

There are basic written instructions included in the kits as well. Are you a visual learner, like to read the directions or listen to audio instruction? Add a comment below with your learning preference. Hopefully, we have you covered when creating with the kits!

P.S. The Kit in the header photo has an assembly video too. Here is the link for the No Matter the Weather Kit as narrated by our CEO, Sara Douglass.

It’s Snack Time!

This is what kept me going making the pile of cards I shared in the previoius mailbox post. The hand stamped greeting cards are now zipping through the postal system! I’ve got my St. Isidore’s cheddar from Inga @aroundthefarmtable, last of the season fall apple, pistachios, Utz pretzels and an almond flavored cupcake. A festive luncheon plate always makes me think about my Grandma hosting the ladies for afternoon card games and tea.

What are your favorite snacks while stamping? Add a comment below. Maybe we share some of the same favorites:) Or I’ll find new favorites from your suggestions. Yummo!

You’ve Got Mail!

I love stuffing my mailbox with envelopes knowing they are going to cross the country and globe and land in my favorite persons’ mailboxes. Leave a guess as to how many envelopes I can fit in my mailbox in the comments section.

I’ll share how many went out in this mailing in a few days so people have a chance to leave some guesses. I’ll mail a greeting card to the person that guesses correctly or is the closest to the number. Good Luck Friends!
