Mini Blog Hop

Today features a mini Blog Hop! Tracy and I are doing a test run of linking our posts. So this hop is just 2 stops. Quick and fun so you can spend a little time in your stamp room recreating our projects:)

My hand stamped greeting card features Blackberry Bliss cardstock and ink which is a rich, dark purple. Daffodil delight and whisper white cardstock add contrast to the blackberry bliss. Snippets of organdy ribbon from the Sale-a-bration combo pack provide a soft look reminiscent of luscious frosting.

These are all the supplies I used to create the card. I wanted to show that the Lemon Lime Twist patterned piece has a black and white butterfly print on the opposite side. These 2 prints are my least favorite in the Sale-a-bration Botanical Butterfly DSP package because they are monochromatic. That just means we need to add our own flair to the prints:) The “sprinkles” stamp was inked using blackberry bliss ink and added to the edges of the lemon lime twist paper for my flair.

Add a comment and let me know what pattern is your favorite from the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper pack.

Now hop down to Australia to see what my friend Tracy Held has created.  Click on the next image to zoom to Tracy’s blog and see what fun project she designed.

Thank you for hopping around with us as we showcase Sale-a-bration 2019 products. You may have arrived from Deb Naylor’s blog and her fabulous project. My project is below.

The frogs from the So Hoppy Together stamp set have been calling to me. That’s unusual because coloring is not my favorite technique. But I envisioned shades of green on my go get ‘er frog so coloring I did.

I started by stamping the frog with jet black Staz On ink on watercolor paper. Then a blender pen pick up a little bit of garden green ink and filled in the darker parts of the frog. The second, lighter shade was Pear Pizzazz and filled in the tummy and face.

Real red lips were drawn using stampin’ write marker. Daffodil delight stampin’ write marker filled in the eyeballs.

See the epoxy hearts above? There are 2, one for the froggy heart and one on the Sale-a-bration organdy ribbon. Punch a heart from granny apple green cardstock using the brand new Dog Builder punch and place behind the epoxy heart so it stands out.

All the supplies used…

You have one last day to order the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set. I used the blobby looking stamp to create depth with the daffodil delight ink under the bike part of the stamp.

Please leave a comment and let me know if the new Dog Builder punch is on your shopping list!

Thank you for hopping with us. Now click on the next image below to travel to Audra Monk’s blog to see her fabulous project.
