Fun Fridays – Crazy Cat Edition!

I have a new experience for today to report. A purple cat and friends in Spencer’s house!

I am sure he is going to haunt us tonight! Spencer’s only experiences with cats resulted in cat’s fleeing for the nearest hiding spot. They did not understand he just wanted to play. And he could not figure out why they looked like a funny looking dog. Hmmm…not sure if I have those memories scrapbooked but they are certainly lively ones that I remember without layouts to review.

Here are some of the friends that will be residing with Jim and me that will remind us of Mary.

I like the flat cat…

Finding these photo holders were an Oh Snap! moment. Card samples and instructions can be above the stamping area now thanks to Mary.

We would rather have Mary and Spencer still in our lives rather than trinkets and memories to remind us of their presence. Circle of Life Lessons are just the hardest ones to learn. Trinkets and memories and a purple cat will help us get through to easier days.

Thanks for stamping with me today!

Mary’s Remembrance Card

We gathered to remember Mary, Jim’s sister who passed away recently. She was a paper crafter too. I had found a stash of Love Blossoms DSP a few weeks ago that I thought she would like but did not get a chance to share with her.

I was thinking that Mary would like it if I could incorporate paper crafts somehow in her gathering. Snickers were her favorite candy so I wanted to include a bar. I also wanted to include a comforting verse. Looking through my stamp stash, I found the retired Love and Sympathy stamp set had just the verse I was looking for.

I CASED my own CASE from Tuesday’s post to create this design.Shelli Garder #onstage2016 CASE

I think her favorite part would be the kitty stamp.

I could not decide if I wanted to include the doggy stamp to add a little Spencer when I was assembling them. After a night’s rest, I awoke knowing I should stamp it. So I did. On the back. He would have liked that.

Cards for a Cause to benefit Breast Cancer Recovery

You’ve got Cancer are words that I never expected to hear. But I heard it with a capital C. It was a lifer changer for sure. It was definitely a weight loss plan! I was diagnosed with breast cancer November 2010. Western medicine treatment of surgery, chemo and radiation took over 2011. I doubled up with naturopath treaments too.

When I was ready to start putting my life back together, Breast Cancer Recovery Infinite Boundaries Retreats helped me take the next step. So I host a fundraising event to benefit BCR once a year since the non-profit organization is funded by donations.

If you would like to join us for an evening of stamping fun, please contact me at my phone number listed in the flyer. I would love to see your shining face enjoying creating your own greeting cards!

I’ll share more about my cancer journey as I move through it. For now, it has been reduced to a lower case c. Let’s hope it stays that way!

Hope to stamp with you on June 9th!

Fun Fridays

It has been a tough few weeks so I have not been in my stampin’ studio for design sessions. As I was looking through my photos to see if I had missed sharing a design, I found this photo. It makes us hookers laugh! Rug hookers that is. Mom and I are moral support for this hobby as well. We are only on our 2nd project and have been hooking for several years. Another hobby to keep us out of the bars! Haha!

When I found this photo, I thought this would make an excellent Fun Fridays posts. Something to make us giggle, put a smile on our faces and send us off into the weekend with good vibes.

These are sheep cupcakes because we need wool to hook rug creations. What a fun  refreshment if we host a hook in at Mom’s house! You know I’ll design a paper crafting wooly party favor for the guests as well!

This also reminds me of Shaun the Sheep of Wallace and Gromit fame. I love those movies!

Thanks for giggling with me today!

Welcome!

Welcome to my Super Awesome Stamper Blog! This is a place I will be sharing life with paper crafts.  Each paper craft creation has a story to tell that starts with carefully selecting richly colored papers, fabulous ribbons and awesome embellishments to match the people sharing the creation with.

I have been wanting to start a blog for some time. Life has a way of using time for it’s own purpose. So I have been gathering the energy to start this part of my journey for awhile. As I send Spencer, my beagle angel, to rainbow bridge, I will share this photo instead of a paper crafting one as a reminder that the sun sets, but it also rises when we are ready to see it.

I hope you enjoy what I will be sharing with you. Let me know if you do!
