Fun Fridays – Where in the World is Mom and Dad

Mom and Dad have been taking advantage of no puppy duties to galavant around Pepin County with me. First stop was at a favorite eatery. We played “Where in the World is Mom and Dad?” with my sisters so I thought I would invite you to play along as well. Here was the first photo:

Mom and I started the Jenga game:

The reward for my sisters’ guesses was a photo of Mom and Dad:

And this is where we were:

They have curly tops too so if you want soft serv and chicken, this is the place to be!

Hope you are having a Fun Friday!

Fun Fridays – Nice Socks

My bag full of novelty socks from my sister-in-law Mary certainly are fun! They can be worn with summer sandals for the greatest joy. So I decided to bring a pair a day while at my Weekend Getaway last weekend.

Friday’s Fun:

I thought the love socks were appropriate since this would be my first weekend away without having to worry about Spencer care. And I talked myself into those cats could look like a dog with perky ears.

Saturday I opted for the Halloween ones with the most graphics:

Sunday was Santa Day!

A group at this getaway has a story about Nice Socks which I remembered about half way through the weekend. No one told me I had Nice Socks though and the story did not come up in conversation. You will have to attend a getaway to get the story!

Interested in attending a Weekend Getaway? I have dates in August, September and October. Here is the link to the Cattail Retreat website. Dates, pricing and fine prints are listed there. Contact me for more details or leave a comment so we can connect.

Hope you enjoy my fun socks today. Have a good weekend!

Weekend Getaway Fun on Friday!

Eight Stampers planned and packed paper crafting projects and then added a few more supplies to the transport pile (haha!). If you have attended a Weekend Getaway, you know we have a hard time only taking “a few” supplies to the getaway. We might need elegant eggplant, perfect plum and rich razzleberry to create the perfect project. Why only use one shade of color when we can use three?!!! Seriously, many of us have been getting away for many years so we do try to pack light knowing our time away is limited. Although we can craft the night away, we do need to sleep for a few hours each night!

Creating pillow gifts to share with getaway guests is something I look forward to. This one was not on the pillow but on each work table due to the perishable product inside.

The coffee candy will give us a few calories when we need it later in the evening.

Inside each box was a peachy surprise.

Glad I had this brand new Perfectly Wrapped kit to make creating this box easy and pretty. The tangerine tango and peekaboo peach flower petals compliment the real peach treat inside.

I visited the Tree Ripe peach truck yesterday so had to share the goodness!

Afternoon refreshment mixed with vanilla vodka as long as we are locked in for the night!

We also partake in coordinated potluck. Tonight is walking tacos and it smells so good!

I’ll be posting more from the getaway so stay tuned!

Keeping Families Close with Ronald McDonald House of Madison Gifts

Screen Shot 2016-06-16 at 7.47.19 AM

Ronald McDonald House Charities keeps families close and surrounded by love when their children are receiving medical treatment far from home. Stampin’ Up! is a national sponsor of RMHC by donating time and money through sales of an exclusive stamp set that is unique each year. This year, the stamp set is My Hero, item numbers (wood) 141954 or (clear) 141957. To date, Stampin’ Up! has contributed over $1.5 million to RMHC and their network of local chapters.

Demonstrators are encouraged to be involved with our local houses. My Super Awesome Stampers Team coordinates a Cards for a Cause with proceeds being donated directly to the Madison house. We hold this event at the house so that stampers can take a tour of the house to see the good work being done. My SAS Team also provides a nightly meal, usually in August so we can share our garden goodness! The tomato salad and kale crisps never have leftovers!

In addition, my team assembles Cards Kits to Go which are included in guest welcome bags. These kits are full of paper creativity all donated by generous demonstrators and stamping customers. Guests are welcome to take the kit with them to the hospital or back home. We are happy to provide a fun distraction. We hope they like what we have provided! I am delivering 13 Cards Kits to Go today, following up with doing 13 of something mentioned in the Monday, June 13th post here.

Contact your local RMHC to ask how you can get involved. If you would like to be involved with the Madison RMHC, leave a comment to get the conversation started. Information about the Madison house can be found on their website.

Thanks for supporting RMHC in ways that work for you!

Lucky 13 Super Awesome Stamper!

6 10 2016 1-001

Tiffany is lucky number 13 to join my Super Awesome Stampers Team! She mentioned being able to select new catalog product in her starter kit as a reason she signed up! Stampin’ Up!’s current June promotion allowing new demonstrators to add any 2 stamp sets free to their starter kit probably helped too!

Want to know how I would support you as a member of my team? Leave me a comment to get the conversation started.

Stampin’ Up! offers compensation too. Follow this link to read about that.  Then click join now if you are ready to sign up. If it asks you for a demonstrator, search for my name to join the Super Awesome Stampers Team!

Thanks for considering the demonstrator opportunity with me today!
