Ink and Share Blog Hop Mini Treat Bag

Welcome to our Ink and Share Blog Hop featuring projects made with Stampin’ Up! products designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators. This hop spotlights the Occasions catalog. If you are hopping around, you have arrived from Kirsten’s blog and her fabulous project. My hop design is below.

I decided to use the Painted with Love Specialty designer series paper (dsp) to create a party favor using the mini treat bag thinlets. The heavy weight dsp make it a good option to create 3-D items.

Close up of the belly band and the fab rich razzleberry heart and “enjoy” accents that were cut using the mini treat bag thinlet set. The gold foil strip is 1 inch wide cut from our 12×12 inch gold foil sheets. See the next photo for an economy gold foil bow tip.

There are gold accents on the opposite side of the polka dot print dsp that I used to decorate the narrow note card. I positioned the bow thinlet over the gold foil. Then realized I could cover up the bow hole with a rich razzleberry heart. No one will know but you and me:)

The Painted with Love dsp and the narrow note cards and envelopes are on page 19 of the Occasions catalog. A hot chocolate packet nicely fits inside the mini treat bag. I delivered these to staff this week at a senior living community I visit. They were tickled that I took the time to create these and hand deliver them with thanks for making it possible for me to visit the community.

Coffee Break Blog Hop

I hope you are enjoying our Coffee Break Blog Hop along with a cup of coffee or tea. I’m hopping with fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. You may have arrived from Sandra Robert’s blog. She had a fabulous project!

Today’s hop features the Coffee Break designer series paper (dsp) with coordinating Coffee Cafe stamp set and Coffee Cup framelits. With 12 patterns to select from on 6 double sided sheets, our blog hop projects may or may not include coffee themes. The opposite sides of the dsp usually feature a complimentary pattern like strips, circles or asymmetrical prints that may be used instead of the coffee patterns.

I decided to create a dark chocolate espresso bean treat sack for my project. Our 2×8 inch cellophane bags holds about a serving of beans after I cut the bag to 5 inches. But a serving for me is 3 beans. I will probably be wide awake tonight since I sampled while I was designing:)

The bag topper is 2×4 inches of early espresso cardstock that was embossed using the softly falling embossing folder and folded to make a 2×2 inch topper. The next layer is 4×1 1/2 inches from the Coffee Break designer series paper package. A whisper white 1 1/4 inch circle creates a mat for the mini coffee cup that was “embossed” using the sleeve framelit from the Coffee Cups framelit set.

Most of the supplies used to create the treat bag topper. I see I did not include the Softly Falling embossing folder and 1 1/4 inch circle punch.

Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop Painted with Love Specialty

I am excited to be a hop stop with the Scrapbooking Sunday crew. Our April theme is pastels. So I looked at my paper stash and found the Painted with Love Specialty designer series paper has powder pink accents. The finely woven powder pink ribbon has a bit of shimmer and is slightly stiff so will be nice and flat on the layout.

The Painted with Love dsp is heavier weight so it will hold up well when cut using the Bold Butterfly framelit.

2 page, 12×12 inch layout…just add photos and journaling!

Tuck a snippet of powder pink finely woven ribbon between 2 hearts cut using the Mini Treat Bag framelit. Mat them with gold foil paper.

A trio of hearts cut using the Wood Crate framelit anchors the bottom right of the layout. The smallest hearts in the upper left and the single hearts are cut using the Support Ribbon framelits.

The supplies used to create this layout plus 12×12 sheets of whisper white cardstock and gold foil paper and powder pink finely woven ribbon.

Apron of Love

I was a hop stop earlier this week and shared this card. If you missed the hop, click here to zoom to my post to get on the hop.

I shared in the hop post that this card was inspired by my Grandma. We lived way up north in Dent, Minnesota when she would visit us for a month at a time. I recall that Grandma would take the Greyhound bus from her house in Illinois. Dad was always concerned if Grandma had to stand in the aisle instead of getting an actual seat. So I am sure we would get to the bus depot early so she could get on the bus first.

I was also inspired to make this card because I am in the kitchen a lot. I cook home made most of the time, have a vegetable garden, can peaches, beets, tomatoes, pickles, blueberries, apples, strawberries and sauerkraut too.

When we had our beagle Spencer, we would also bake him homemade treats. His tummy seemed to do better too if he did not eat the processed treats. It also gave us something to do with Spencer. He knew we were baking for him, must have been the meat juice (saved from crock pot cooking) and garlic smells.

I think Jim found this cookbook to help us with recipes when we first started baking biscuits for Spencer.

This page was bookmarked…I make notes with recipe changes, when I made it and other facts that might be fun to read later on.

Grandma’s cookbooks were dispersed and this is the one I received…I kept the paper towel that she used to mark a page. We make recipes out of this book, mostly floury things. The angel food cake is a favorite and is baked when I get extra eggs from my nephew.

ICS Blog Hop Apron of Love

Welcome to the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop featuring It’s a Girl Thing themes. I hope you are enjoying our stops. We have great projects to share with you!

I picked the Apron of Love bundle to create a hand stamped greeting card because it reminds me of my Grandma. The next supply to pluck from my stash was the Delightful Daisy designer series paper. I wanted a bright design so opted for daffodil delight cardstock for the card base and apron. One of the framelits look like lace so I repeated that design by using a white delicate doilie as a layer behind the apron.

Our silver foil sheets provide the sturdiness needed for the utensils. We carry copper and gold foil sheets too. Tucked behind the doilie is a 3×3 inch old olive cardstock. There was a strip of daffodil delight cardstock left after cutting a few aprons so it was tucked behind the old olive piece.

Grandma would visit for a month at a time. She would wear an apron when in the kitchen making a batch of chicken and dumplings. I remember the over the head style with ruffles she would wear at her house to protect her clothes. Grandma is remembered for her coffee cakes too.
