This is how I roll

My Mom wanted to know how I got my stamp expo display set up to my booth. Here you go Mom!

My Lands’ End rolling suitcases I purchased years ago when I worked as a call agent have served me well over the years. Countless vacations to far away places, trips up and down the interstate and short jaunts to the expo:) I can pack 5 tubs (that equals 5 projects) per suitcase, strap on the Big Shot on top of one suitcase and my catalog bag on the other and away I roll!

The expo center has rolling carts to transport my containers to my car. I went home with a lighter load so that helps with pack up.

Thanks to everyone that stopped at my booth. I’ll be following up with you in the next week. If you have found some goodies in the catalogs you would like to order, you can do so by clicking on Shop Now on the right side of my blog. Please use host code EKNVNV97 if your order is less than $150. If it is over $150, do not use the code so you can redeem all the host rewards!

I have deglitterized the cutting table from preparing the snow peeps make-n-take I featured at my booth. Tomorrow I tackle deglitterizing the main table where I prepared the kits!

Here are the 2 make-n-takes. Can you guess which one was more popular? Leave a comment with your guess. Toodles!

Twas the Night Before Stamp Expo…

screen shot 2019-01-20 at 8.31.58 am

Twas the night before stamp expo pack up and all through the house, the supply tubs were stacked high, almost to the ceiling I dare!

The prep tables were a mess of snippets of ribbons, empty spool rolls, scraps of pretty patterned papers left next to Carl Cutter, he is my second boyfriend you know;)

Lots of self adhesive embellishments were cut apart, stuffed into kits, ready for the Card Buffets’ start.

The score board is worn out, markers placed at 4.25 and 5.5 inches. Where is the stylus? Stored right on the board for scores on one last minute design.

Fifteen packages of whisper white envelopes opened and how many whisper white cardstock packages cut down? I have lost count!

A few more hours to prep for scrapbooking class. My favorite themes: snowpeeps, fall and flowers. The time will go quick!

Now off to bed I go, otherwise I’ll risk punching lopsided daises, for the Tin of Cards class.

See you soon at the One of Kind Stamp and Scrap Expo in Madison!

Introducing Day Paper Crafting Retreats

Sometimes, you just need to take a day in the country for yourself. Use a vacation day to enjoy the crisp, fall air and sights around the pond at Cattail Retreats. Maybe October 21st is the perfect day for your one day retreat in the woods.

Here is the view from the craft room…the bright light in the greenery is the pond.

Here is what you will feel like after your day in the woods retreat…

Here is what you might accomplish with your afternoon free time (if you are a sewer:).

These photos are from the August weekend retreat with friends Dawn and her daughter Portia all the way from South Dakota, Katrina, Pauline and Me. I am sporting my new pajama pants that Dawn helped me sew.

Our day retreat starts with a Card Buffet or Scrapbook with Me session or sign up for both activities. A seasonal lunch will be provided. Then, use the afternoon to work on your own projects. You will get your own table to spread out on for the day.

The event starts at 10am on Monday, October 21st and ends at 6pm. It takes me 30 minutes to drive to Cattail Retreats in Poynette just to give you an idea that it’s an easy commute up the interstate. The house is about a mile from the interstate so easy to find.

The cost depends on the activities you sign up for. Card Buffet only is $40. Scrapbook with Me only is $45. Sign up for both activities and the cost is $80. Price is per person and due to me by October 7th so I have enough time to prepare projects and reserve the space.

The website for Cattail can be found by clicking here.

Interested in retreating with us for the entire weekend? We arrive on Friday, October 18th after 10am. You can stay through Sunday 3pm or add the extra Sunday night and day retreat on Monday. Contact me for details. Thanks!

Additional day retreats are Saturday, November 9th and December 7th. Arrive after 8:30am and depart by 5pm. Payment is due 2 weeks prior to the retreat date.

Thanks and hope to share a day retreat soon with you!
