Create a stack of sympathy cards so they are ready when you need them. Use the stamparatus stamp positioner to line up each verse perfectly. It makes for quick stamping too. My family helped me prepare greeting card making kits that were shared at 5 different senior living communities. Thrivent funded some of the supplies, we donated our time.
Cheryl got a lesson on using Tricia’s cutter which made cutting cardstock quick.
Mom used the Stamparatus to stamp all the images to kept them perfectly aligned on the paper. Helpful for the sentiment verses. Debbi used the scoring board to score all the cardstock while I cut the burlap ribbons.
We prepared about 150 kits in a few short hours! Thanks for your help reducing the kit prep time. Thanks to Thrivent for providing the action team grant!

Sometimes, you just need to take a day in the country for yourself. Enjoy the crisp, fall air and sights around the pond at Cattail Retreats. Or perhaps work on holiday projects after the leaves have fallen and it feels more like winter is setting in.
Here is the view from the craft room…the bright light in the greenery is the pond which changes with each season.
Here is what you will feel like after your day in the woods retreat…Ok, so this was after 3 days on the most recent October weekend retreat. Lots of sewing, scrapbooking, card kit making and decor crafts happened prior to this photo:)
Our day retreat starts with a Card Buffet or Scrapbook with Me sessions or sign up for both activities. A seasonal lunch will be provided. Then, use the afternoon to work on your own projects. You will get your own table to spread out on for the afternoon.
Day retreats are Saturday, November 9th and December 7th. The event starts at 8:30am and ends at 5pm. It’s a 30 minute drive to Cattail Retreat in Poynette just to give you an idea that it’s an easy commute up the interstate. The house is about a mile from the interstate and is easy to find.
The cost depends on the activities you sign up for. Card Buffet only is $40. Scrapbook with Me only is $45. Sign up for both activities and the cost is $80. Price is per person and due to me by November 1st so I have enough time to prepare projects and reserve the space.
