DIY striped Bella and Friends CASEing the Blog Hop Design 9

I helped coordinate a Sale-A-Bration 2018 Blog Hop that has 15 stops. If you missed it, click here to hop along. I am CASEing the designs on the hop to show you how to CASE. If you see a design you like but don’t have the supplies on hand, you can substitute with supplies you do have in stock.

My design below was CASED from fellow demonstrator Melanie Coverston and her Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop card entry #2. You can see her design by clicking here.

I made my own striped paper since I did not have striped paper in stock that color coordinated with the other colors on my card. To make your own striped paper, apply ink directly to the Simple Strips embossing folder on the raised stripes side as shown. After inking the embossing folder, place your paper at a diagonal inside the folder before flipping it shut and processing through the Big Shot.

The resulting diagonal pattern is on the bottom half of the card below.

I used markers to apply solid color to the images. I used a sponge dauber with crumb cake ink to lightly add fluffiness to the dog. I rolled up the smaller end of the sponge to lightly add always artichoke ink to the turtle head, legs and tail.

Just Notecards CASEing the Blog Hop Design 8

I helped coordinate a Sale-A-Bration 2018 Blog Hop that has 15 stops. If you missed it, click here to hop along.

My design below was CASED from fellow demonstrator Sandra Roberts and her Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop entry. You can see her design by clicking here. I decided to use lots of color instead of paper layers on my notecards. This makes for quick thank you cards.

Lots of acrylic blocks were used to mount the clear or photopolymer stamps too.

If it is over $150, do not use the code so you can spend all the host rewards. Need a host code to share with your friends? Click Contact above and I’ll create a host code for you. Review my Online Shopper Rewards before placing orders to see if your order qualifies for my program.

If you want it all, then consider signing up to be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator now. During Sale-A-Bration, new recruits select 2 additional stamp sets that will be included in your $99 starter kit order.  Please go to my business website here to review all the details about being a SU demonstrator.

Scene 1 and Job Done!

This is the view right outside the craft room at Cattail Retreat. Peaceful with lots of fall color. The pond changes as the day passes and as the breeze carries nature across the surface. Rain gently fell on a different day creating interesting ripples. It was nice to watch it all from our cozy craft room.IMG_7645

The main event at retreat is whatever craft projects you can manage to bring all the parts to:) I bring my computer for when I run out of projects because I can edit Youtube videos and create blog posts. I edited the video for this DIY stationary to include the quilted snack table covering as the background on my photo.

Click on the Youtube video for how to create the stationary.

The video editing job is done! So I could move on to my next project; sorting card kits. More on that in the Scene 2 blog post for tomorrow. So check back then!
