Welcome to our Ink and Share Blog Hop featuring projects designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators and me. This month, we are featuring projects created with guys in mind. If you are hopping around, you have arrived from Tricia Butt’s blog and her fabulous project.

The Tranquil Textures designer series papers has a few options that look like water. I picked the pattern with a little purple so the fish could be accented with purple.

This card design was in the March Card Buffet line up. The supplies used to create the card were contained in a plastic tub lid and passed around the stamp table. Blender pens were used for coloring the fish. I wrap a piece of scrap paper around the cover at one end to indicate which pen should be used for which color. The pens won’t need to be “brushed out” of color until after the event. This might also save my ink pads from being accidentally dipped with the wrong color:)

Life’s too short to say No to Cake!

2 16 19cb1-001

Life’s too short to say No to Cake! I agree! A slice from Carl’s Cakes makes the day better. I love the mocha flavor. Mom and I get a cake at every chance. I’ll be bringing apricot hazelnut to celebrate her birthday the next time I visit.

I designed the flirty flamingo greeting card version above to share at the February Card Buffet. My sister baked a cake for her husband so I designed the balmy blue and silver foil version and got it in the mail quick!

Would you like to stamp a few of these cards at the Card Buffet? The session is Thursday, February 21st, 9:30am. Full details are in this blog post.

Please click the contact button to RSVP so I will prepare kits for you. I’ll reply back with confirmation that I received your RSVP with a few more details.

Hope to stamp with you on Thursday!

Happy Birthday Aunt Dollie!

My Mom’s sister celebrated 80 years of good living with a surprise party at her favorite neice’s house. Aunt Dollie likes to color images for focal points on her greeting cards. Since I have stacks of stamp sets, I decided to stamp 80 images that she can color to her hearts content.

There are 2 of each image stamped with Memento ink pad, a mix of retired and current images. If she does not like the color combination she picked for the first image, she can change up the colors for the second image.

I used a card exchange card and color coordinated with a Paper Pumpkin box to gift the images in. A simple and complete package that was quick to assemble.

Happy Birthday How To

Thanks for stopping back for the how to tips on creating the Happy Birthday Blog Hop entry I shared in yesterday’s post. The scrapbook layout is on the left and the greeting card is on the right in the photos below.

First, the balloon bouquet punch was used to create lots of balloons from Picture Perfect Party designer series paper. It is already sized at 6×6 inches so punching was quick. I just had to strategically place the punch to include colors and not white space in the balloons.

I then decided to use the full 6×6 inches of the dsp on the scrapbook layout so that all the fun patterns could be enjoyed. The dsp was attached to 12×12 inch crumb cake for stability.

Rich razzleberry 8.5×11 inch cardstock was cut into 4 equal pieces to 4.25×5.5 inches. Whisper white 8.5×11 inch cardstock was cut to about 6 equal pieces for the next layer.

Fresh fig finely woven ribbon was attached using tear n tape as shown below.

Rich razzleberry classic ink was used to keep it simple and accent the dsp.

The greeting card started with 8.5×5.5 inch rich razzleberry cardstock. The next layer is lemon lime twist cut to 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches. Bermuda bay is next at 5×4 inches. Whisper white is about 1/6 of an 8.5×11 sheet. I decided to use all of the stamps on the card that were used in the scrapbook layout.

Quick and colorful!
