Paper Crafting Blog Hop Thinking of You

I hope you are enjoying our Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop featuring Happy Birthday designs. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe are participating so we have a wide array of fun projects to share with you! You may have arrived from Sue McDonald’s blog across the pond in the United Kingdom. She had a fabulous project!

I have a special treat for you, guest designer is my Mom today! She loves to make candy bars for special events. The kind where fancy dishes are set out and filled all kinds of candy delights with tiny scoopers. The How Sweet It Is suite of products was at the top of her shopping list.

The Melon Mambo pin on the left side of the tag is an actual safety pin! We think it can be used to slip a ribbon through and attach to the top of the tags found in the Sweet Pins and Tags package (item number 148571 on page 15 of the Spring catalog in case you missed those). Mom adhered the pin with a rolled up glue dot.

After cutting out the treat jars from the How Sweet It Is designer series paper (item number 148568), the negatives were sitting on the counter. Mom decided to attach them to the inside of the card using Tombo liquid glue and stamp inside the negatives.

After Mom was done designing, I asked how her experience was. She said, omg, too much pressure! We were also in a time crunch since she was designing less than 24 hours until the blog hop go live time. She did a great though! Add a comment to let her know what you liked about her card. We will hop together and I’ll post her comments on the other blogs.

Thanks for hopping with us each month. Now click on the next image to zoom to Tracy Held’s blog in Australia and see what fun project she designed.

Add assorted pastel Stampin’ Write markers to create fruity colored gummy bears. I also used the triple banner punch. See it way over on the bottom left? It’s the details that make a fabulous card!

ICS Blog Hop Fall for All and Cauldron Bubble

Thank you for hopping around with us as we showcase Fall for All. You may have arrived from Janey Backer’s blog and her fabulous project. My project is below.

My starting point was Halloween! My family loves Halloween! I documented the reasons why in a scrapbook layout here.

The Toil and Trouble designer series paper is vividly colored so I decided to fussy cut a witch and adhere to a gorgeous grape mat. The gorgeous grape cardstock was run through the Big Shot using the Subtle embossing folder. I wanted a soft look so this folder delivered nicely.

Trick or Treat stamping from the Caldron Bubble stamp set using Pumpkin Pie ink adds festive fun. All those frogs hopping around as the photo background are from the designer series paper package Toil and Trouble.

About 15 witches can be fussy cut from one page of the witches pattern from the Toil and Trouble dsp making project completion easy.

Thank you for hopping with us. Now click on the next image below to travel to Melissa Tennison’s blog to see what fun colors she used in her project.
