Just a Note – A Study in Pink

This card is so fabulous that it is going to get a blog post all by itself! Kay Messling stamped this card and CASED it from PGPapercrafts. Let’s start to appreciate this card by noting the layers and lots of them!

pink pirouette cardstock is the base and flower along with ink splatters

sahara sand is the cardstock mat layer and was also used on the Timeless Texture stamps

whisper white cardstock is the perfect canvas for stamping

whisper white cardstock also used to cut the flower center and leaf

linen thread was artfully crossed under the white perfect accent

Kay said to gently run a bone folder along the linen thread to slightly curl it

Just a Note stamped in your favorite black ink pad

I am pretty sure I am going to CASE this CASE! Good reason to use the stamp set Timeless Textures. I may even keep the pink pirouette even though pink is my least favorite color. I think this card will look just as fabulous in sweet sugarplum. What color would you create it in?

Here are a few of the products used to create this card. Let me know if you need help finding any of these products or placing an order at my online store. Thanks!

Floral Suite

See the silver metallic thread, organza ribbon and basic pearl on this card from Lisa Reggie? Non-paper embellishments elevate a design and make a card look complete. The Floral Suite products make easy crafting since they are designed to coordinate.

This card has a fancy fold stamped by Robin Vought. I’ll put it on my youtube video to do list. The double baker’s twine bow balances the Floral Suite patterns. Nice touch!

Last, Joyce Hall created this card using sweet sugarplum cardstock, ink and ribbon.

Here’s to You

Ohhh…I like this one! Cheryll Steinke participated in a swap organized by me at Onstage and contributed this card. She used the power of 3, many times. I spy 3 repetitions of 3. How many do you spy? I see a fourth one as I type this, the paisley flower stamp, the paisley framelit and the paisley designer series from the Petals and Paisleys Suite, pages 46 and 47 of the holiday catalog.

Kim Vale created this fun fluttering background using aluminum foil and copper embossing powder. Try using our silver foil sheets instead since they are quite heavy and may be easier to heat emboss with.

Flourising phrases and Flourish thinlits combine with Affectionately Yours designer series paper for this design from Chris Wedell. See how she used enamel shapes inside the flower and also next to the sentiment to add interest.

Thankful Grateful Blessed

When demonstrators gather, we swap! I’ll be sharing swaps I received at the Madison Onstage November 2016 event over the next few weeks. You can order all supplies through my online store here. Let me know if you need help identifying products.

We start with fallish themes with a design from Debra Geier. Interesting that I picked her swap to post first since she organized the swap. Thanks Debra for organizing!

#Onstage 2016 Celebrating You!

What a whirl of a weekend while Stampin’ Up! was in town for Onstage 2016 convention! I’ll share highlights in this post and then add more details thoughout this week.

Our convention bag is always a fun way to start the event. Inside are brand new products for the spring catalog and our name tag. Shhh…don’t tell SU, but I think I was most looking forward to the name tag because the one I was using was looking a little worn! The name tag is even laminated!

Let’s back up a few hours prior to getting the convention bag. I was selected as a display stamper. Here I am with my samples on the top part of the board using real red, old olive and delightful dijon. It was fun to receive a box of brand new supplies to play with. I had to keep the products and projects top secret until they were revealed at Onstage. My Mom did not even get a sneak peek!

Friday night was pampering and learning for leadership called Centre Stage. I have a team of Super Awesome Stampers so I qualified for this free event! Yahoo!

The tables for Saturday’s all demonstrator event looked a little different with gifts for my downline and supplies for the make-n-takes!

My team that attended Onstage! Kay is top left, my sister Tricia is top right, then me and Andrea seated next to me.

Although the value of the training, make-n-takes and product give-aways are worth the registration fee, all of my team earned this day for free! Super Awesome! Let me know if you want to attend Onstage 2017 in April in the Twin Cities. I’ll help you earn it for free!

Check back this week for more Onstage photos and sneak peeks at the spring Occasions catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure!

But you don’t have to wait to see more…Andrea has shared on her blog too! Click below to “hop” to her blog!
