Thank you for hopping around with us as we showcase Christmas Cards Galore. You may have arrived from Janey Backer’s blog and her fabulous project. My project is below.
I decided to create custom designer series paper using the Spirited Snowmen stamp set. I first stamped the skating snow peep in pacific point in the center of an 8.5×11 whisper white cardstock. Additional images were stamped in “triangles” around the center image.
Next, “winter cheer” was stamped in blackberry bliss filling in the open spaces.
Last, the snowflakes were stamped in pacific point ink to fill in…
a fun little trio of images and colors…
The sheet was cut to 4×5 inches. Then the blackberry bliss ink pad was applied directly to the edges to give an illusion of another layer. I wanted the Swirls and Curls embossing on the balmy blue card base to show through a little so did not want to add another paper layer. Decorated the envelope back too!
Color the carrot nose with the pumpkin pie Stampin’ Write marker and add a frosted epoxy dew drop embellishment for the hat tassle….
All the supplies used…
My design was inspired from a custom sheet that my sister Tricia created. The stamp set took 3 trips up the interstate before she completed the sheet. She plans to use the sheet to create a scrapbook page.
Please leave a comment and let me know how often you create your own custom designer series paper.
Thank you for hopping with us. Now click on the next image below to travel to Terri Takashige’s blog to see her fabulous project.
That is a brilliant idea!! I have used it for scrapbooking, however I do not think I have done that for cards! I will now! Thank you for sharing! Such a cute stamp set, too! Now I want it! LOL
