A Special Holiday Gift

I was contacted by a sister-in-law of someone on my team that wanted an extra special holiday gift. After considering the options, she choose prepaid Card Buffet tickets. Here is the extra special packaging I created…

It was fun to create the packaging knowing that Tammy was going to receive it with surprise and delight. I am looking at January 26th/27th for Card Buffet dates. See you then, Tammy?

Stamparatus has arrived at my house

My new Stamparatus got a work out today. The pile of cardstock in the corner was all stamped with the row of hearts from the new Heart Happiness stamp set. Each row was perfectly positioned in a straight line since I used the Stamparatus. Had I been just eyeballing the stamp placement, I would have had many rows slightly off. Since I like my straight lines straight, this is the perfect tool to keep straight lines straight.

I did a short Facebook live sharing how I used it to stamp the stack with the heart row. Search for Super Awesome Stamper Shirley Merker in Facebook to find my business page where the live video is posted.

You have until 11:50pm mountain time on Saturday, December 30th to reserve your Stamparatus. It will debut in the new annual catalog the summer of 2018 so if you want a Stamparatus before then, you must reserve one! Please go to my online store here to make your reservation. You will need to enter your credit card number but your credit card will not be charged until it ships. You will get an email notification when it is ready to add your online shopping cart. At that point, you can add other items to your shopping cart as well before checking out. Estimated shipping is March 19, 2018 but that depends on where you are in the reservation system.

I plan to share another Facebook live when I get to my next project that needs perfect placement and multiple stamping. So be on the watch for that!

In the meantime, here is the Youtube video that Stampin’ Up! has published sharing 5 Things to Know About the Stamparatus.

Make your reservation now! You have until December 30th, 11:50pm MT to reserve yours! Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Pumpkin Socks

I just wanted to share that the Paper Pumpkin socks did make it to the Christmas table. The socks were well received. I decided on a candy stick and 3 different fruit flavored tootsie rolls. The orange flavor was included with a nod towards giving fruit as gifts from yesteryear.

Jim’s sister Nancy had a festive table ready for us that included this centerpiece.

901 greeting cards created in December!

I was asked at a holiday gathering this week how many greeting cards I prepared in December. I think the person asking did not expect the number I offered and could relay so quickly. I may have said 870 knowing that I prepared 750 card kits to share at senior living communities and just had snail mailed 115 card at the post office the day before.

So how did I get to 901?

750 card kits spread across 4 designs to share 3 designs per senior resident

16 samples for those designs which I manage to give away over the course of the sessions

121 greeting cards snail mailed or hand delivered over the last 4 days

5 thank you cards

and 9 sample cards for the January senior living sessions designed yesterday

equals 901!

The month is not over yet so there may be a few more I create!

That is a little over 22 packages of envelopes, 452 card bases cut and scored, 150 sheets of 8.5×11 whisper white cut to line the inside of the cards plus more for focal point stamping, about 50 sheets of designer series paper, 250 doilies and lots of ribbon tied to make bows. I am just thinking back on the supplies I used. I should have kept track! Lots of glue sticks were finished so I am down to my last few Stampin’ Up! glue sticks too.

Here is a photo of me recreated without the stack of card kits that I posted a few weeks ago here. I am holding what I hope to be my last holiday project. These cute socks came together quick with the help of the November Paper Pumpkin kit. All supplies are included in PP kits with easy to follow instructions. So that is why I left this as the last project to stamp:) We will use the socks to decorate the holiday table and deliver a little treat. I am wondering if I can find oranges small enough or will have to be satisfied with the orange tootsie rolls that I used in the neighbor gifts instead.

After purchasing a subscription, you will get an email on how to enter your promo code into your PP account. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy! Then enjoy your first kit about January 15th!

See you in 2018 and Happy Holidays!
