Paper Pumpkin is a Party in your snail mailbox!

The June Paper Pumpkin was sent to many new subscribers that took advantage of the $5 offer. I hope everyone likes this kit because it creates a fabulous mini banner that the recipient can hang to create festivity.

If you don’t know what a Party in your snail mail box called Paper Pumpkin is all about, watch this video sharing how to assemble the June 2016 kit:

In addition, here are alternate projects created with the same basic supplies plus a few others from your stamp stash. Fellow demonstrators contributed projects in addition to my projects. I still would like to create a scrapbook layout so I’ll share that when I get it created!

Can you guess which projects I contributed without looking at the credits? The extra gold letters in the kit are perfect for spelling out short names like Jim, (Shirley is a bit too long!). Initials will work as well to help guests find their mugs!

Want to receive alternate projects in your email box? My Paper Pumpkin subscribers will receive a pdf as a thank you for subscribing with me.

Washi Tape Wrap Downline Gifts

My design sessions start with an idea and a product. I pluck punches, stamps and the Wink of Stella and a short while later, I have a finished wrap.

6 25 2016 1-001

Serene Scenery designer series paper was the first product I plucked to play with. Pair it with the Grateful Bunch stamp set and coordinating punch and my washi tape wrap package was almost complete. The photo does not pick it up, but the flower petals were brushed with Wink of Stella which makes them glimmery without the mess.

Members of my downline that live too far away to attend my June team meeting will receive this washi tape share in their snail mail box. Those that attended the meeting received 2 full washi tape rolls which also fit in the wrap.

6 25 2016 2-001

Watch the how to youtube video for tips and tricks:

My downline is Super Awesome too and I love to treat them with a little something. That something changes for every meeting whether it is product, over the top make-n-takes or whatever I dream up! I like to keep it interesting!

If you would like to join my team, June is dairy month. Haha, just trying to see if you are still reading! Actually, new demonstrators may select 2 free stamp sets of their choice when signing up in June. Find out what Stampin’ Up! offers their demonstrators here. If you have questions about what I offer as your upline, click Contact Me which is on the same screen as the joining information. I would love to have you join my Super Awesome Stampers Team!

Weekend Getaway Fun on Friday!

Eight Stampers planned and packed paper crafting projects and then added a few more supplies to the transport pile (haha!). If you have attended a Weekend Getaway, you know we have a hard time only taking “a few” supplies to the getaway. We might need elegant eggplant, perfect plum and rich razzleberry to create the perfect project. Why only use one shade of color when we can use three?!!! Seriously, many of us have been getting away for many years so we do try to pack light knowing our time away is limited. Although we can craft the night away, we do need to sleep for a few hours each night!

Creating pillow gifts to share with getaway guests is something I look forward to. This one was not on the pillow but on each work table due to the perishable product inside.

6 24 2016 3-001

The coffee candy will give us a few calories when we need it later in the evening.

Inside each box was a peachy surprise.

6 24 2016 2-001

Glad I had this brand new Perfectly Wrapped kit to make creating this box easy and pretty. The tangerine tango and peekaboo peach flower petals compliment the real peach treat inside.

I visited the Tree Ripe peach truck yesterday so had to share the goodness!

6 24 2016 1-001

Afternoon refreshment mixed with vanilla vodka as long as we are locked in for the night!

6 24 2016 4-001

We also partake in coordinated potluck. Tonight is walking tacos and it smells so good!

I’ll be posting more from the getaway so stay tuned!

A Pop of Purple

Purple is my favorite color (see the orchid opulence on my page?) so I use it in my creations whenever I can. I also like to surprise people with the unexpected. So I decided a pop of purple was in order for this dinosaur thank you card.

6 21 2016 3-001

2 pops actually. The inside got a pop of purple button too.

6 21 2016 1-001

Guests at my recent Cards for a Cause to benefit Breast Cancer Recovery Infinite Boundaries Retreats  certainly were not expecting this design! BCR’s logo color is purple so that was another reason to pop the purple.

Thanks to Kay and LuAnn, my demonstrators friends for donating their time, card design skills and supplies to help make the event a success. Here are the cards that the guests either made at the event or received fully assembled as Cards to Go.

6 21 2016 5-001

That’s me delivering the $230 donation check to Klara the Program Director and Renee the Administrative Assistant.

BCR’s mission is to provide environments for women breast cancer survivors to heal emotionally. I attended my retreat in 2012 and have been volunteering since then. Please share their website with women that have had a breast cancer diagnosis. They can decide if the experience is right for them. I am happy to chat about my journey and BCR too. Just ask!

Until my next Big Adventure…toodles!

Serene Scenery Designs, times 2!

My last post (The Guy with the Plants aka my Dad) shared the greeting card I created for my Dad using the Serene Scenery designer series paper. The home office must love this paper as well because they created a short video sharing all the patterns here.

I created another design using this paper stack to welcome 2 new members to my Super Awesome Stampers team.

Yes, I fixed the askew white perfect accent before mailing since it was not perfectly placed for the photo!

The supplies used:

Watch the video here if you want to see my hands assemble the cards.

What designs will you create using Serene Scenary? Leave a comment with design ideas. Then order your stack from my online store. Mom has already placed her order!

Thanks for stamping with me today! Toodles till tomorrow!

The Guy with the Plants aka my Dad

My Dad has always created a little forest of starter vegetable plants in the spring so that when the ground is warm enough, we are ready to get a head start on the growing season. We review last year’s starter plant order as we go through the varieties of seeds available. Dad likes to try a few new things every year. I have basil, parsley, tomatoes, eggplant, brussel sprouts, broccoli and many varieties of peppers. If you come to my house, the peppers will greet you!

As I sat down to create his Father’s Day card, I thought that using the stamp set Gift from the Garden (item number 139356) would celebrate his efforts providing us (2 of my 3 sisters also plant gardens) with plants that allow us to eat right from the vines!

Screen Shot 2016-06-18 at 7.34.09 AM

Here is the card I created with a basil plant brisking growing on my deck for easy snipping:

6 18 2016 1-001

The patterned paper is from the new Serene Scenery designer series paper stack (item number 141642). Cardstock and ink are garden green. Old Olive baker’s twine adds visual interest. The new Sparkle embossing folder is peeking from behind the dsp. All products are available at my online store here.

Thanks Dad for taking the time to care for a crop of starter plants! Mine are growing well with rain barrel water and the hot temperatures. I’ll have tomatoes early this year!

Fun Fooodays

I am a foodie. I will take my time preparing dishes from the freshest ingredients (often from my gardens or canning jars), using Penzey’s spices and baking my own yeast breads too. A simple tray of nuts, dried figs and cheeses also makes it to my table several times a week.

While visiting my sister Julie, I attended her cooking class where we enjoyed a spinach and egg white roll:

mexican dip:

cherry oat choco bars:

Then later at her house, we had home brewed kombucha, home baked ciabatta along with foods gathered form various local shops after class:

Did you notice my sister Julie is a foodie too. She shares cooking demonstrations in the greater Milwaukee area through her website here. If you are in the area, check her classes out! She demonstrates at public and private events, maybe your next gathering could use a fun foodie demo!

Thanks for checking in for today’s Fun Foooday Post!

Keeping Families Close with Ronald McDonald House of Madison Gifts

Screen Shot 2016-06-16 at 7.47.19 AM

Ronald McDonald House Charities keeps families close and surrounded by love when their children are receiving medical treatment far from home. Stampin’ Up! is a national sponsor of RMHC by donating time and money through sales of an exclusive stamp set that is unique each year. This year, the stamp set is My Hero, item numbers (wood) 141954 or (clear) 141957. To date, Stampin’ Up! has contributed over $1.5 million to RMHC and their network of local chapters.

Demonstrators are encouraged to be involved with our local houses. My Super Awesome Stampers Team coordinates a Cards for a Cause with proceeds being donated directly to the Madison house. We hold this event at the house so that stampers can take a tour of the house to see the good work being done. My SAS Team also provides a nightly meal, usually in August so we can share our garden goodness! The tomato salad and kale crisps never have leftovers!

In addition, my team assembles Cards Kits to Go which are included in guest welcome bags. These kits are full of paper creativity all donated by generous demonstrators and stamping customers. Guests are welcome to take the kit with them to the hospital or back home. We are happy to provide a fun distraction. We hope they like what we have provided! I am delivering 13 Cards Kits to Go today, following up with doing 13 of something mentioned in the Monday, June 13th post here.

Contact your local RMHC to ask how you can get involved. If you would like to be involved with the Madison RMHC, leave a comment to get the conversation started. Information about the Madison house can be found on their website.

Thanks for supporting RMHC in ways that work for you!

Tuscan Vineyard Warm Up

I am in an organized swap with cards due at the end of this month. My chosen stamp set is Tuscan Vineyard. In looking around my shelves, I found a few kits containing some retired, but glorious supplies. I decided to warm up to my “real” swap using these supplies.

6 15 2016 1-001

I used the Wink of Stella to blend purple on the grapes. So pretty in person! A blender pen and old olive ink added color to the leaves. As I was creating this card, I realized I won’t be able to use Blackberry Bliss on my swap! Elegant Eggplant or Rich Razzleberry will have to do.

Wondering if you will be one of the lucky 7 to receive this card? Preference given to those that share stamping with their friends in June! Contact me to be a lucky 7 winner!

Thanks for stamping with me today!

New Catalog Haul Unboxing Video

I schedule my day around new product deliveries! I can hear the UPS truck rumble around the neighborhood so I intercept the package greet the driver at the front door!

I created a video sharing what I got in my first box after the new catalog went live! Enjoy!

Let me know if you want me to demonstrate these products at a creative night out with friends. Can you see all those ribbons wrapped around party favors for your next anniversary or birthday party thank you gifts? I can! Ask me how I can help make your event special with paper crafts.

Thanks for sharing in my unboxing excitement today!
